First of all, can I just say how much I adore that magnificent facial hair. There I said it. Anywhoo, straight to the point...

The whole 3D game changer thingy has caused much debate recently what with Avatar breaking records and Alice and Clash of the Titans about to be released. I'm neither here now there about it, I really don't care. It is a gimmick and will most likely die, it has before and will again. But whilst it's all well and good for "fun" films like Avatar to use the gimmick to make an otherwise crap film good, Mr Scorsese thinks that it can be used in all types of films.

According to a chat with Yahoo Movies he doesn't see why other films shouldn't be in 3D either.

"We see in depth, for the most part. We go to the theater — it's in depth. Why couldn't a film like `Precious' be in 3-D? It should be."

No Marty, no-one wants to see an obese girl getting raped in a third dimension.
